Fabric Of My Heart

There is no value in milking a negative mindset and staying molting in a hole of my own making.

The way out…

Fabric Of My Heart

I tap into the Universal Heart and I can feel the thrum of life…
a foundational drone that underscores everything.
I feel the interlacing weave of creation
the tightly woven fabric with dotted me’s, I’s and you’s
scattered, splattered
centered
rendering the One
evident,
visible,
home.

keep it simple

keep it simple by Nicola G. Karesh

Having the kind of day where ego is so resilient, like that energiser bunny that fails to just STOP!

Maybe the lesson on humbleness sailed right over my head.  Am I so insecure that I try so hard to be remarkable… extraordinary?

I don’t understand.  The message is given so many times that you really are quite ordinary.  Look at all the other amazing things people write.

You think you have the corner market on being special?  Talented?

One day, long ago, your heart was broken as loving yourself was deemed selfish.

Maybe you’re so afraid to fade into the less than… the mediocre sidelines.  You lived there a long time ago and the memory is right on the edge… the one you keep skirting…  the edge called plain, old Joe that you keep dancing away from.

Today, maybe it’s time to let go of any kind of self-importance. The ordinary, simple, and plain feel like a forgiving cushion to rest on.

Portals of Truth

(I wrote this while I was on retreat with Adyashanti in Hendersonville, NC)

Portals of Truth by Nicola Karesh

Open to the good and bad
To all of you pouring through
The portals of experience…
The essence of truth.

Hold nothing back from yourself
Least of all
You.

beaming
shining bright
raging tantrums
miserable
moody
right

All the rough edges
You want shorn away.
Include them in love’s gaze
Whats your heart have to say.

It may feel scary
to experience the unknown.
No way to predict
No hand to take hold.

Left with nothing
You stand all alone
The way you came in
The way to unfold.

naked
defenceless
open, aware.

Dance Of Life

Dance Of Life by Nicola G. Karesh

Victory is the dance
That carries us across the stage of emancipation.

Light is the background
That disperses the shadow
From our backs.

Love is the fuel
That feeds our hungry souls
And brings us home to ourselves
And each other.

Life is the platform
Where you play your heart out
For good or for bad.

Choice is that precious commodity
That you commit to, or disregard,
In each precious moment.

Waylaid

Waylaid by Nicola Karesh

The life of the unknown,
the alone
poor and cast-offs.

Erupts and bleeds
into the well-mannered
order of privileged life.

Beckons us to care
to see
to feel,
to make room for
our waylaid brothers and sisters

Who are fumbling,
stumbling
lost in a twist
of knots and turns
who cannot find their way
without our hand and a life-line.
