The Flow Of Paradise

The Flow Of Paradise by Nicola Rickards Karesh

(The haves and the have-nots… Does it really call for a preference?
Who would consciously and deliberately pick doing without?)

Wouldn’t it be nice to give the world a break
from poverty, fighting
and the constant bickering and comparison
of non-essential garbage?

How about we all take a vacation
from upsetting God’s apple cart
and just enjoy the flow of paradise?

Settle down to valuing what’s real…
the true prize of creation
which is nothing more
than the life you attack,
beat down and reduce
to less than humanity truly deserves.

Less than a speck,
but by the grace of all that is good and holy,
love will never be cast out of the promised land.

Love lingers,
even when we trample it,
seemingly to death,
and scream,
“Get out!”

Love maintains its stance
because it could never be brought down
to the street level and ground to dust
except to perform healing work

in the gutter
where we do roam
from time to time.

I’ve heard tell that love is patient and love is kind.
Must be true to put up with every imaginable opposite
that we throw its way in comparison.

I am weary from the sight
of the upset cart… people in opposing corners.
Time to let go of destructive days
and breathe from our hearts again.

Souls need respite
and I know just the place to take you there.
It is beyond time and Eternity is patiently waiting.
